Contact the Shop First
Before shipping anything to Custom Gunworks, or before dropping off a firearm for service, please contact the shop. A short conversation confirms whether we can assist with your particular situation, what would be involved, and what to expect on timing.
This matters most when a firearm is already in transit or an arrangement has been made with a seller. Contacting us first is the single step that avoids the most difficulty, and it costs nothing.
Shipping, Receiving, and Transfer Handling
Shipping, receiving, and transfer handling may depend on the item, the destination, carrier rules, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements. We do not publish a single shipping policy that covers every situation, because the requirements are not the same for every item or every customer.
Custom Gunworks can assist with firearm transfer support where legally permitted and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements. Customers should contact the shop before shipping or initiating a transfer.
We cannot promise that shipping is available for any given item or destination, and we will tell you plainly when something falls outside what we can handle rather than offering a workaround.
Firearms Must Be Unloaded
All firearms must be unloaded before being brought in for service, shipped, or handed over at the counter. This applies without exception and is the one requirement we ask every customer to confirm before arriving.
We recommend bringing firearms cased. If you are unsure how to prepare a firearm for drop-off, call the shop and ask before you travel.
Returns and Refunds
Returns and refunds depend on the service, the product, its condition, and applicable requirements. Because our work ranges from stock parts to one-off custom builds, a single blanket return policy would not fairly describe how any of it is handled.
If you are not satisfied with work we performed, contact the shop and tell us what is wrong. We would rather look at the firearm and understand the issue than have you live with a result you are unhappy with.
Items With Different Terms
Custom work, labor, inspection, transfer handling, and special-order items may carry different return and refund terms than stock items. Work already performed, parts fitted to a specific firearm, and items ordered in specifically for a customer are the most common examples.
Where different terms apply, we will explain them before the work begins or the order is placed, so you know what you are agreeing to in advance rather than afterwards.
No Online Firearm Checkout
This website does not process firearm sales through direct online checkout. Regulated items are handled in person through the proper licensed process, and any request made through the website is a request to start a conversation, not a completed purchase.
