Service
Cerakote / Finishing
Protective, durable finishes that hold up to real use.
Service Overview
Cerakote is a thin film ceramic coating that improves corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, and lubricity while giving you control over the look of your firearm. We prep, coat, and cure each project to manufacturer specifications.
From solid colors to custom patterns, we work with you to plan a finish that fits how the firearm will be used and displayed.
A finish is only as good as the prep behind it. We strip old coatings, media blast the surface, and clean thoroughly before any Cerakote goes on, because a rushed prep job is the most common reason a finish fails early.

Cerakote / Finishing FAQ
How is Cerakote different from bluing?
+
Bluing is a thin chemical finish that offers modest corrosion resistance. Cerakote is a ceramic based coating that provides stronger resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and chemicals, in a wider range of colors.
Can I choose a custom color or pattern?
+
Yes, we offer solid colors, two tone combinations, and custom patterns. We discuss options during your design consultation.
Does Cerakote affect how a firearm functions?
+
Properly applied Cerakote does not negatively affect function. Our process includes full reassembly and a function check after curing.
How long does Cerakote application take?
+
Turnaround depends on project scope and current shop volume. We provide a timeline once your color and coverage plan is finalized.
Can you Cerakote just one part instead of the whole firearm?
+
Yes, we can coat individual components such as a slide, barrel, or furniture rather than the entire firearm.
