Common Questions
Do I need an appointment to drop off a firearm?
+
Walk ins are welcome for quotes and quick questions, but we recommend calling or using our contact form ahead of time for repairs and custom work so we can plan bench time for your project.
How long will my repair or project take?
+
Turnaround time depends on the type of work and current shop volume. Simple repairs and cleanings are often completed within a few business days, while custom builds, Cerakote, and restorations can take several weeks. We will give you an estimated timeline at intake.
Can you work on older or discontinued firearms?
+
In most cases, yes. Our smiths have experience with a wide range of platforms, including older, surplus, and discontinued models. If parts availability is a concern for your specific firearm, we will let you know during inspection.
Do you sell firearms directly online?
+
We do not offer direct online checkout for firearms. Our shop page lists categories we work with, and all firearm transfers are handled in person through a licensed FFL dealer in compliance with federal and state law. Contact us to confirm current availability.
Do you provide free estimates?
+
We provide a free initial assessment for most repairs and services. Custom builds and larger restoration projects may involve a project consultation to scope the work accurately before a final quote is provided.
What should I bring when I drop off my firearm?
+
Please bring the firearm unloaded and cased if possible, along with any relevant accessories, such as magazines or optics, that relate to the work being performed. Valid identification may be required depending on the service.
Do you ship firearms after completing work?
+
Shipping options vary by service and by state and local regulations. Ask our team about shipping when you drop off your firearm or during your initial consultation.
Is my firearm insured while it is at your shop?
+
Yes, firearms in our care are covered while on our premises. We treat every firearm, whether a daily shooter or a family heirloom, with the same level of care and security.
